UNICEF Chair 1

Ahmad Akel

Committee Chair

2. Ahmad Akel is a junior at Al Mawakeb Garhoud. With a goal of academic excellence and a future full of brightness, his journey in MUN began at the age of 12, participating in a debate with his friends, unaware that this small experience would turn into a lifetime passion. Becoming a perfectionist in the debating field despite a life full of downs, Ahmad Akel knew to never put his head down. Instead, he held himself up and stayed bright. Today, he stands proud to be the person he has transformed into over the years, participating in major MUN conferences, creating initiatives and clubs of his own, and following his passion of debate with full heart and success.

UNICEF Chair 2

Omar Chouman

Committee Chair

Omar Chouman’s journey in Model United Nations did not begin with instant success, but it began with challenge and growth. His first conference was far from perfect, marked by nerves, hesitation, and lessons learned the hard way. However, through resilience, relentless preparation, and an unwavering commitment to self-improvement, he transformed those early struggles into strength. Over time, his dedication paid off, earning him 10 awards, including 4 Best Delegate awards. Each award represents not just achievement, but perseverance and growth. As a chair at AMSIMUN, Omar is committed to creating a supportive yet challenging environment where delegates, whether first-timers or veterans, can find their voice and grow beyond their limits. He looks forward to welcoming you all to AMSIMUN 2026 and is eager to witness the passion you will all bring to the committee!
