2. Leen Sawan is excited to serve as the Chair of the NATO Committee at this year’s conference. She has been involved in Model United Nations since Grade 9, where she first discovered her interest in global issues and debate. Since then, MUN has become something she genuinely enjoys, allowing her to grow in confidence, leadership, and public speaking, while engaging in meaningful discussions. As Chair, Leen aims to create a committee that is focused, respectful, and engaging. She looks forward to productive debates and a great experience for all delegates.

1. Lucia Kakoun is a girl who always believed that what’s meant to be will be. In the 9th grade, all she would do was stress to her sister about not being in clubs like the rest. So, her sister pushed her to go to the first ever edition of AMBMUN, the conference where it all started. Lucia not only left that conference with a first place award, but also with a spark she didn’t know she had. From there on then, her MUN journey began. Debates, conferences, friends, speeches, countries, resolutions and the list goes on. Now, as a junior and your chair for this years AMSI conference, Lucia proudly holds the title of YMUN head. She can’t wait to see you all and wishes you the best of luck!

3. ⁠Joury Musharbek is a Grade 11 student at Al Mawakeb Al Khawaneej. She began her MUN journey in Grade 8 and has since participated in numerous conferences, where she developed a passion for diplomacy and debate. She is so excited to be working as a Chair of NATO at this AMSIMUN.
