She believes that MUN is not just about debating; however, it is about meeting new people, making connections, and forming long lasting friendships. Through her MUN experience, she developed her awareness of global issues and became a confident, knowledgeable, and compassionate person prepared to face the challenges of a world that is always changing. Besides her passion for politics, she is also a musician who has been playing guitar for 8 years and enjoys playing volleyball. Tia Koulaylat is a Senior at Al Mawakeb Al Barsha. Attending her first ever MUN conference in the ninth grade, she found herself in the United Nations Security Council - the most challenging committee in the conference. Even though she walked out of the committee empty handed, she won something more. The love of debate. After persevering in the club that she had learned to love, she proceeded to win an award in every other conference that she delegated, was awarded Junior Executive Board in AMSI25’, and now has the honor of being part of the Senior Executive board of AMSIMUN 2026. Tia wishes you all the best of luck, and she cannot wait to spend her last ever MUN conference with such a talented batch of students!

Majed Kawakneh

Majed Kawakneh

Known, at least to himself, as a visionary in the making, Majed Kawakneh surprisingly did not start off his journey through MUN on the right footing. Fresh out of 7th grade, his first AMSI conference shook him to his core, yet it allowed him to develop an itch for something greater. He just thought he would pretend like he knew what he was doing until the final committee session, and it somehow worked, earning him his first ever award. Regardless of the fact that it was a beginner committee and he only scraped by because of his position paper, that award was priceless in his hands. His passion for MUN only grew from there, and the rest was history.

Zeinab Ramadan

Zeinab Ramadan

Zeinab is a senior at Al Mawakeb Al Barsha whose love for MUN began in the seventh grade and has flourished ever since. For her, MUN is not just a test of diplomacy and debate, but a platform to engage in meaningful discussions and build lasting connections. Some of her closest friendships have come through her participation in conferences as a delegate, chair, and faculty member. Throughout her involvement, including leadership roles in YMUN and MUN, she has grown into a confident and knowledgeable researcher, ready to take on challenges that extend beyond debate. She looks forward to this final experience as a fitting conclusion to her journey. She cannot wait to see what you all will bring to this conference, marking a notable conclusion to what has been a defining experience.

Ahmad Saleh

Ahmad Saleh

Ahmad Saleh is a junior at Al Mawakeb Al Barsha and junior executive board member of AMSIMUN 2026, whose MUN journey began in the ninth grade after joining MUN not by choice, but because his older sister forced him to. However, 8 delegations and 6 prestigious best delegate awards later, he eventually realized that he would have never achieved any of it if it wasn’t for his sister throwing him out of his comfort zone. Being one of this year’s junior executive board members, Ahmad has an everlasting love and passion for debate and politics, which allows him to thrive with confidence in MUN. He avidly believes that MUN isn’t about winning or losing, but rather the skills gained and the friends made along the way. Batool Abu Hilal

Batool Abu Hilal

Procrastinating, uninspired, and unproductive — these were the qualities Batool believed defined her before she discovered the club that would become her passion. The thought of MUN made her anxious; she feared failing at public speaking and feeling embarrassed. Yet when courage overcame hesitation, she took her first step into what would be the first of many conferences, and everything changed. In that moment, she realized she had found her calling. What once intimidated her began to empower her. Today, Batool carries herself with confidence, self-reliance, and empowerment — qualities she once thought were beyond her reach. She learned that true failure lies not in mistakes, but in never trying at all.

Kareem Sadeddin

Kareem Sadeddin

Leadership, boldness, and independence are qualities that MUN helped Kareem Sadeddin develop. A junior at AMG, Kareem began his MUN journey in the seventh grade, signing up without fully knowing what to expect. What started as simple curiosity quickly turned into passion. Four years later, after attending more than fifteen conferences and being apart of the AMSI MUN Executive Board, Kareem’s journey reflects the growth, discipline, and opportunities that MUN can offer. His experience stands as a testament to how stepping into the unknown can shape strong, capable leaders.
